Himalaya city of India, Darjeeling

Tiger Hills is 11 kms from Darjeeling which has the highest railway station and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first rays of the sun hit the twin peaks of Kanchenjunga and it looks just like a painting.
Dhirdam Temple is a famous temple of Lord Shiva build in 1939 which shows different facial expressions of lord shiva in different moods. Darjeeling also has Rock gardens which are known for natural waterfalls. Barnotey Rock Garden is one of these rock gardens which attract a huge number of tourists.

There are also natural lakes which are fed with perennial springs and rain water. Among the popular one Mirik Lake gets maximum visitors who have options of go for fishing, boating, accommodation or just simply sit and enjoy the view with some tea and snacks.

Darjeeling is famous for its tea and has beautiful tea estates. You can experience the work culture of these estates buy spending some time with the people who work in these farms by becoming one of them. You can rent traditional dress of Darjeeling people and enjoy their company, take snaps and enjoy the aroma of world famous tea.

Painting and Art lovers can also visit the Ava Art Gallery. Apart from oil painting and water paintings, the gallery also has paintings made out of threads and hand embroidery. This art gallery houses more than 60 paintings which exhibits exquisite craftsmanship of the artist.
